Stay Healthy Over the Holidays
The Christmas / New Year season brings joy to many ... and dread to some! When we meet and greet family and friends we eat and drink. A lot. Thanks to Urban Remedy you can start to lay off the chocolates and shortbread fingers with these ten fantastic tips. You will start to feel good in no time.
1. Get off on the right foot each day.
Just 10 minutes of exercise will get you eating and feeling good for the rest of the day. We recommend yoga, stretching, walking (on the beach if you're lucky enough), swimming, or even a run for the braver among you.
Raw nuts, healthy dips( such as hummus), carrot and celery sticks, brown rice cakes, avocado, olives and fresh fruit.
3. Put a healthy spin on your festive eating:
Root veggie chips instead of ordinary ones, gluten-free christmas cake, coconut oil instead of butter, homemade dips instead of store bought ones (often loaded with unnecessary extras), dark chocolate (sweetened with stevia if possible) instead of milk chocolate.
4. Choose your drinks carefully.
Opt for clean mixers such as soda water and fresh lime. Go organic (or biodynamic) for your wine if you can.
Yep, for once this actually is OK! If you have overindulged at Christmas lunch, you don't HAVE to eat dinner. Have a light snack instead.
6. Have a 'clean day' between eating sessions:
Lots of fresh fruit, veg, salads, steamed fish, green juice!
7. Take time out from family.
Go for a walk. Have some YOU time.
8. Get out of the "cram as much naughtiness into the end of the year before the next one begins" mentality.
Start your resolutions before 1st Jan.
9. Jot down just 3 resolutions for 2012, not 20. You're more likely to stick to them.
10. Set a mantra for 2012.
It will give your resolutions meaning.
Your body is a temple. Keep it clean.

SunFX Reviews
SunFX Body Butter ($22.95AUD) ★★★
Product type: rich body butter with a balm-like texture that hydrates tanned skin and prolongs the life of the tan. Packaged in plastic jar with twist lid.
SunFX Body Polish ($23.50AUD) ★★★★
Product type: body scrub with walnut extract to polish and condition skin, removing dead layers of dry skin and fake tan. Packaged in plastic jar with twist lid.
It took me two years to finish using SunFX Body Polish...it's a massive jar! I used it once per week over my entire body and while it smells gorgeous, the consistency is a little runny. If you are seeking a coarse scrub I recommend trying something else but none-the-less Body Polish performs well.
SunFX Summers Secret ($24.40AUD) ★★★★★
Product type: tan extending body moisturiser that hydrates tanned skin and prolongs the life of the tan. Packaged in plastic tube with flip lid.
WOW! I have been wearing this on top of my SunFX Spray-on Tan for a whole week now and my tan has not only stayed on, but still looks perfect! On application, the product feels creamy and smells beautiful. It absorbs into the skin really well, leaving it feeling and looking hydrated and not oily. I only need to apply each night before bed and the product lasts a good 24 hours, hydrating my skin as the day goes. My skin is glowing and i keep on getting asked if I have been to the beach! I like everything about it, there is nothing to fault except that I wish the products were more natural. The cream is very generous and so it is going to last a long time making it an economical choice. The packaging is great as it comes with a flip lid and the box is cute too.

SunFX Tan Extender Body Lotion ($25.50AUD) ★★★★
This moisturiser takes forever to get through! It is so rich that I used it once per day or every second day, and it lasted about 9 months - I still can't believe it. It left my skin smelling like almonds which was yummy and kept my legs looking smooth and radiant. The packaging is simple yet convenient because it contains a flip-top lid. I hated using it in the winter months though because the cream is so cold and it would have me squirming each time I applied it.
SunFX Whiteout - Spray On Tan ($25.50AUD) ★★★★
Product type: professional spray-tan using SunFX salon grade tanning formula. Comes in three shades which can be combined to create a shade suitable for any skintone.(Thank you to beautyheaven.com.au for allowing me to trial this product)
