I love the shatter polishes. I am waiting for red shatter in the mail. I am desperate for the new blue shatters too!
I got many of OPI polishes in my nail collection, all the gorgeous colours teamed with a foolproof application are understandably why its always a winner. Love the Kate Perry Collection and a few of the gorgeous pastel type hues in the Pirates lineup but am yet to try the shatter polishes myself.
I love the look of these, I haven't used them yet but will look out for them next time I'm beauty shopping!
I am a huge fan. I own Turquoise, Silver and the soon to be released, Pink Shatter for Pink Ribbon/NCBF.
I am slowly building up my collection of OPI polishes, love them, also the polish remover by OPI is amazing!

Can you tell me if there is a reason for the top coat, had a pedicure the other week and they used one before the polish, wondering if this is something I should be using for a reason?

The coat applied to nails before your polish is called a base coat. Applying a base coat to nails before your polish helps your polish to stay on nails for longer. If you want to use a darker polish then apply base coat beforehand and it will prevent nails from discolouring.
