Talulah S/S 2011 Collection
Hair: unknown
Makeup: directed by Napoleon Perdis
I was so thrilled to receive a phone call the morning of the show from the team at Napoleon Perdis cosmetics. They were calling to invite me to sit front row at Talulah's 2011 Spring/Summer collection, Woven Dream.
The show was simply stunning from start to finish. I entered a rather dark room crowded with backstage crews and media setting up their cameras for the show and once people started to move the magic started to happen. As the crowd separated I could see the catwalk set up with a large Talulah banner along the back wall. The banner was adorned with large flickering candles and the front row was also lined in them. Once we were allowed to take our seats, I decided to put my candle next to my bags so I didn't knock it over but then realised that it was battery operated... but it looks so real! With the flick of a button, this battery operated candle looks convincingly real.
The 40 piece collection inspired by the 70's was free-flowing, comfortable yet stylish, with a very warm and Summery feel. One of the first things I noticed was that the models looked gorgeous and relaxed in flat sandals as they strutted the runway. Tangerines, whites and beige tones are the main colour palette for Talulah's Woven Dream collection.
The Hair: Sadly I am unsure who mastered this mighty fine hair look but the soft crimped effect looks super feminine and a little 70's. While each model had the same style, each was slightly different in order to allow model's personalities shine through.
The Makeup: Directed by my favourite team, the Napoleon Perdis artists created a gorgeous Moroccan inspired makeup that consisted of corals and tangerines which complimented the designs to perfection. The minimalist approach could be compared to the gorgeous Jade Jagger, however due to the soft tones, cheeks were amped up with brighter tones to prevent the face from looking washed out.
Thank you to Napoleon Perdis' media crew for the headshots and face chart of the look.
