Review: I have fairly long hair, down
to the middle of my back, and although it is in a relatively good condition,
there is no denying that over the years it has been through tremendous abuse.
The ends are currently dry and stressed from heat and chemical, as well as the
daily tear and wear from blow drying and heat styling. In the winter my hair
looks a lot drier, frizzier, and in the summer humidity can make it look frizzy
as well. One of the first things that got my attention was the beautiful
natural scent, which is very subtle. This scent does not linger too much, fading
soon after the serum treatment has absorbed into the hair. Royal Moroccan
products contain Argan Oil and other nourishing ingredients such as Grapeseed Oil,
Dead Sea Water, flower extracts, and Aloe Juice which work well together to
make hair soft, silky smooth and easy to comb. At first I tried Royal Moroccan
Serum Treatment and ended up with too much serum in my hands, mainly because it
was difficult to dispense just the amount I needed. Consequently my hair was
left feeling greasy yet it was shiny, healthy and frizz-free. The following day
I washed my hair and tried using Royal Moroccan Serum Treatment again, this time
being more careful with the amount I used. I applied in on to damp hair before
combing and styling, and it made it so much easier to comb my hair.
Since then I
have used the Serum Treatment, not only as a hair treatment but also as heat
protector and shine serum. In terms of long term result from using the Royal
Moroccan Serum Treatment, I do feel that my hair seems more thoroughly moisturised,
clearly thriving from its new daily treatment regime. I do not feel that the
Serum Treatment in any way is building up in my hair, or weighing it down. The
glass bottle I do not find is very practical, and care definitely must be taken
when handling the bottle in the bathroom, and even more so after using the
product, which does tend to leave your hands a little greasy. Secondly, the
bottle has a very large opening, making it difficult to control how much oil
comes out, too much comes out making my hair feel and look greasy. It would be
nice if the product was to come with a pump, or at least had had one of those
plastic caps inserted into the bottleneck to help control the flow. All in all,
it is a great serum treatment that does what it promises. Royal Moroccan Serum Treatment
retails at $29.95 and as only a small amount of the serum treatment is required
this bottle will last you a long time. I can highly recommend this, and will definitely
consider purchasing it again, as well as I will be looking into other products
in the Royal Moroccan range.
